How is the Team Builder Incentive calculated?
When your friend joins impowered using your referral code, they become a 1st Tier referral. You receive $1 for every hour your friend works.
If your friend invites their friend to join using their referral code, that person becomes your 2nd Tier referral. You receive $0.20 for every hour your 2nd Tier referral works.
You receive the Team Builder incentive for any hours your 1st or 2nd tier referrals work at a partnered provider.
When are the Team Builder incentives credited into my account?
Incentive payments are scheduled for payment on the 28th of each month for the previous month and typically take 1 - 2 business days to arrive in your account. Questions about your hourly wage should be directed to your employer.
How is the leaderboard calculated?
The leaderboard totals the hours worked last month by your team (1st Tier and 2nd Tier referrals).
What is a point score and how is it calculated?
Your point score starts at 1,000. The score shown is a weighted average of the last 8 months (recent months weigh more).
You only lose points if you:
- Request time off within two weeks without an approved replacement (tag a replacement in-app; they must accept).
- Don’t complete the onboarding checklist on time.

What is the eligibility requirement to receive the Team Builder incentive?
Have your referrals join your team by having them sign up using your invite code. Both you and your referrals must work a minimum of 15 hours with a participating provider to receive the incentive payment for that month.
Is the incentive I receive taxed?
impowered does not withhold taxes on incentive payments. You’re responsible for local, state, and federal obligations. A 1099 is provided in January for the prior year.
Can my referral join another team?
No. Once someone joins using your referral code, they cannot be referred by anyone else. Only invite people who aren’t already users—make sure they enter your code at sign-up.
Am I a caregiver of impowered?
No. You’re employed by the partnered providers in the app. impowered is the platform connecting caregivers and providers.
Who pays my wage?
Your wage is paid by the provider who approved your shift. impowered pays the incentive payment for hours worked by your referrals (your team).

What are the different levels of badges?
Commitment Badge
This badge is earned by those who continue to work with the same provider.
- Bronze: 3 consecutive months of employment with a provider
- Silver: 6 consecutive months of employment with a provider
- Gold: 12 consecutive months of employment with a provider
- Platinum: 2 consecutive years of employment with a provider
- Master: 3 consecutive years of employment with a provider
Team Builder Badge
Earned by networking with friends and family and building your team. Levels are based on your number of 1st Tier referrals who joined the app using your referral code.
- Bronze: 1 referral
- Silver: 3 referrals
- Gold: 5 referrals
- Platinum: 10 referrals
- Master: 20 referrals
Leadership Badge
Earned by maintaining a perfect point score over consecutive months. Responsible, reliable professionals are more likely to be considered for competitive jobs and help ensure consistent, compassionate, quality care.
Maintain a 1,000 point score for:
- Bronze: 3 consecutive months
- Silver: 7 consecutive months
- Gold: 12 consecutive months
- Platinum: 18 consecutive months
- Master: 36 consecutive months
Community Engagement Badge
Earned by being socially active on impowered—based on the number of posts and the number of likes your posts receive.
- Bronze: 5 posts (no likes requirement)
- Silver: 15 posts, minimum 5 likes on each
- Gold: 30 posts, minimum 10 likes on each
- Platinum: 75 posts, minimum 20 likes on each
- Master: 150 posts, minimum 50 likes on each
Mentorship Badge
Earned by mentoring your 1st Tier referrals to build their own team—these are your 2nd Tier referrals. Share networking, recruiting techniques, and care wisdom to foster a high standard of care.
- Bronze: 1 second-tier referral
- Silver: 5 second-tier referrals
- Gold: 15 second-tier referrals
- Platinum: 35 second-tier referrals
- Master: 80 second-tier referrals
Team Player Badge
Earned by completing fill-in jobs through impowered. Fill in for a friend when they tag you in a time-off request, or search for available fill-in shifts on the platform.
- Bronze: 3 fill-in shifts
- Silver: 8 fill-in shifts
- Gold: 20 fill-in shifts
- Platinum: 50 fill-in shifts
- Master: 100 fill-in shifts
impowered badges you can earn. Each badge has five levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Master. Once a badge is earned, it will immediately appear on your profile page for employers and other healthcare professionals to see.
